Who Is Building This With Us
A first-year festival is an act of collective faith. These are the organisations who decided to take it before there was anything to see.

Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation
Our marine education and youth programming partner, and the host of our public launch at the Ocean Campus in Cape Town

Die Koelkamers Teater, Paternoster
Our home. A converted cold-storage building that has become the West Coast's cultural hub, and the festival's long-term anchor

SIMA Studios
Through SIMA’s Cinema Across Borders program, WOA joins a global network of Screening Fellows bringing award-winning social impact documentaries and locally rooted dialogue to communities around the world.

International Tourism Film Festival Africa
Festival partner and collaborator on the Young Creatives Student Challenge

Young Creatives Student Challenge
Our student filmmaking challenge, giving young filmmakers a brief, a deadline, a screening and a credit

iKasi Creative
Mobile filmmaking training and a MICT SETA-funded graduate internship pipeline

iSivivana Centre
Community youth mobilisation and venue partner anchoring the local filmmaking pipeline
In Conversation
We are in active discussion with a number of organisations, in South Africa and internationally, about joining the festival. Among them is the ILLUMINATE Film Festival in Santa Barbara, the world's leading festival for conscious cinema, which has expressed its support for Wonder of Africa as an African home for this movement
Partner With Us
Wonder of Africa offers something a conventional sponsorship does not: four days of undivided attention from an audience that came a long way on purpose, in a place people photograph, around films that people talk about afterwards.
There are six ways to stand with the festival
- Ocean Guardian & Naming Partner: title rights across the festival, naming of a core experience, VIP hosting in Paternoster, and the opening or awards platform. One partner only.
- Waterfall, River and Creek Partners: tailor-made integration: naming of an experience or session, VIP passes and hosted accommodation, a post-screening reflection circle on your own values, and a place in the WOA Journal. Limited places in each tier.
- The Tide-Breaker Dinner: host an intimate pre-festival evening for our directors and headline partners. One available.
- The WOA Journal: (from R350) our A5 printed companion to the festival, and an anchor for bringing consciousness-expanding experiences and shared values into everyday life. Brand stories, founder features, artisan listings and cover placements, from a single directory line to a four-page feature, woven together with space to take notes, doodle, reflect and journal.
- Deep Presence Retreat: a hosted restoration gathering on the Paternoster tides for ten guests, in the days before the festival opens.
- The Custodian Circle: for individuals who want to give directly to the movement.
